Lancôme's Diagnôs Expert

I got myself a free tour with this skin analyser! Diagnôs Expert (below)! Haha! At a huge shopping center which has a huuuge Esthetique store (kinda like Sephora-ish I guess). I have never analysed my skin before, but I´ve wanted to do it for a long time, I just forget about it all the time >_<;

Anyways. I brought a friend with me. And he sat next to me the whole time. The whole session took about 40 minutes I guess. She started using the "Corneometer" to see if my skin was hydrated. It could tell that my skin didn´t have enough hydration, and I thought I used enough moisturation! Haha. Some places on my face had like 0 hydration, and I guess that´s why my skin gets flaky sometimes. Especially my nose :0.

So then she started cleanse my face and removed all my makeup except my mascara. And I hate showing my skin without foundation. Haha.. But she applied some mask to my face, the "Hydra Intense Hydrating Gel Mask with Natural Water Captors" (below).

And that´s a mask which should be left on for about five minutes. It was like. Blue-ish. Light blue-ish. I don´t remember but it was fancy looking XD. Then she just removed it with a tissue after some minutes. Not to be rinsed off! And she checked my level of hydration several times and could see it was improving. Especially after applying the "Hydra Zen Neurocalm Day Cream" (below). It´s really awesome to use at night =) Then just wash off the excess in the morning (but be sure to remove the outer most excess after five minutes anyways. Or else it will. Kind of. Stain. XD).

Only I got one in fluid consistency. And I find it weird because I saw that one on the official Lancôme website yesterday. But now it´s gone. Did they discontinue it!? I hope not!! Because it was really nice! Gah. Anyways.. My skin´s level of hydration seemed to show some positive progress! XD And that is good. And then it was time for my makeover..!

By first using the "Effacernes Waterproof Protective Undereye Concealer" (below), a pretty smooth and nice concealer, under my eyes and my flaaaws~~ she then applied ... one of their many liquid foundations xDD I dont remember which one it was. I don´t think I checked it either. But she wrote everything down on a survey-like note. Which they kept for me there. I will go back and ask for it later. ^^,
And then she told me Lancôme has released a new mineral face powder! So as I can see from their site, I think she used the "Ageless Minérale With White Sapphire Complex Skin-Transforming Mineral Powder Foundation SPF 21 Sunscreen" (below). Wow that was a long name! XD. But actually when I think about it. It doesn´t look like the one she used... Gah I don´t know! Anyways, they kinda looked like blushes as well. Several colors! D: Gah I´ll upload a picture anyway!
It made my skin look so healthy and sunkissed and everything! She did a really nice job :3 Too bad I didn´t take a picture of myself >_>; I thought about it but I guess I just forgot it. I wasn´t home till late.

But I ended up buying the "Hydra Intense Hydrating Gel Mask with Natural Water Captors" and "Effacernes Waterproof Protective Undereye Concealer" in color "02"... It doesn´t say on their website. I´m at work now so I can´t check. I´ll do later. XD Together it cost me about 570NOK, which is now about $85. Norway is more expensive than foreign stores -_-". Oh well!

So when I bought 2 products (or more) I got some stuff for free!! I got this cute leather-like purse containing a tester of their new Magnifique perfume. And a 7ml Genifique bottle :D! And a mini mascara (name here), the "Hydra Zen Neurocalm Day Cream" in a small jar, and a Hydra Zen serum =). Really nice!!

-pic coming asap-

Thanks!!

My Everyday Minerals collection (up to now XD)

Hellooo~~! Today I´m going to show you my Everyday Minerals makeup collection!!

For some months ago, I stumbled upon this awesome site selling mineral foundation and other makeup! And after learning how to mix my own free sample pack, I ordered asap! You get to choose 3 base colors, 1 face/blush and 1 concealer! And that is awesome! You only have to pay for the shipping. I had to pay 5 dollars I guess, and that is like nothing! And you should get a brush too. I have the flat top one. I talked about it in my last post here. And they have got new brushes in the shop as well.

Anyways. I tested these for you. I have 3 foundations, 2 blushes, 1 face, 2 concealers and 3 eyeshadows. So here are the tests! Sorry for the bad lighting, but. I found out I am about NW15 in MAC foundation, so if you´re familiar with that, you could like compare. Anyways. That´s my face color. My body color is more yellow. Haha XD. So that compare thing doesn´t work well.. I fail. XD My skin color fails XD...

Concealers:
- Pearl Beige: This goes under the category "forty winks", and is quite white with shimmer. I don´t really like it.. It´s much better to use as a highlighter or eyeshadow I think. It is really too light to use as a concealer to hide certain spots on the face... And the pearly shimmer..? I´m not a fan of that.

- Mint: "Spot on" category. The green is to neutralize redness, but if you use too much you´d end up looking like the hulk or something XD. Has no shimmer. It kind of works when dusting it all over the face. But be sure to use foundation over it after! Haha. It is actually pretty white as well.. Very light green. >_<;

Foundations
:
- Light Medium: This one fits my face really nice actually! It´s in the matte look. Medium buildable coverage with mattifying effects. Good for oily/combination skin. Even though the intensive is the best for best coverage. Anyways. It´s from the "beige" category, and fits people with soft beige complexions with a undertone of soft yellow or pink.

- Soft Butter Peach: From the "warm" category. The lightest shade in this category. If you have peach or golden undertone, this one fits you! It´s a little bit more yellow than the Light Medium. I got this one in Original Glo, which adds a bit of shimmer and light coverage. Really pretty actually.

- Light: This one is even more yellow and from the "golden" category. It is a bit too dark and yellow for me, but if you have a more golden undertone this will fit you =) I guess it could look nice on during summer though! XD

Sorry for the hair btw 8D

Setting powder:
- Start-to-Finish Fair: This is really translucent and soft and silky. Goes on smooth on the face. Really nice. Not really necessary taking a picture of it.. XD You can´t really see it on the skin anyways ^^,

Blushes:
- Jingle Bells: I can´t see this one in their shop anymore. I got this randomly with my order.. Same with the eyeshadows. Weird! Maybe limited ones? =/.. Anyways. Really pretty. A light pink color with shimmer. Doesn´t add much color, but it is sweet and innocent =).

- Nick Nack: This one is pinkier and doesn´t contain shimmer. More neutral pink with a matte finish. I like this one. Sweet color!

Eyeshadows:
- Silver Bells: It´s not in their shop anymore either! What´s the world coming to. Haha. But anyways. It´s a really pretty greyish silver color. Adds some sparkle to your eyes ;D.

- Sleigh Ride: Purple color which is not in their shop anymore. Gah XD. But shimmery and pretty.

- Christmas Carol: Doesn´t give much color at first, but you can layer it. It contains a lot of shimmer! Really pretty, but may be too much. It´s green by the way XD. And I can´t see it on their site. Wow. XD

Just click on the images to see a larger image of it, btw.

AND these powder mixing bowls! I bought this set and I thought they´d be much smaller! But oh my GOD look how huge the biggest one is! And. Wow! I mean. WHY. xDDD

Right now I´m waiting for one of the February special kits. With 4 blushes and 1 mini kabuki brush! So cute!! :D Can´t wait to try it out ^^, And I really want new blushes XD. So I´m going to show you them when I receive them.

Thanks! ºnº

makeup brushes!

So I am going to show you my makeup brushes..!
I dont have alot, but I have a few. From eyeshadow brushes to foundation brushes.. Different types. Different brands.. And I will tell you what I think of them!

(From left to right...)

#1 Random eyeshadow applicators
Seriously, they suck. They are huge which makes you have no control over where you apply the color. The only ones I had before. Now I´m throwing them away! XD
Price: About $3

#2 H&M small eyeshadow brush
Small and easy to work with. Not the best quality, but they go a long way! May be a bit too small, but great for details and under the eyes.
Price: About $3

#3 H&M medium eyeshadow brush
Durr, this one is really nice to work with! The brush is kind of "big" and "fluffy". Not flat. Makes a smooth application, especially if you want shimmery eyeshadow! =) It doesn´t pick up much eyeshadow as the small one, but that also makes it easier to clean it! XD
Price: About $3

#4 H&M blush brush
This one comes with a "sliding cap", so you can hide/store the brush when not using. I don´t do that really. But since it is really soft and long, I usually use the sliding cap about 1/2 way up to make it smaller in width and harder. Makes it easier to work with. But I seriously need a new blush brush. I don´t really like this one. It´s too soft and unstable XD.
Price: ?

#5 Chanel powder brush: "Le Petit Pinceau Touch-up Brush"
This one is really soft and cute! Works great with pressed powders! I think it works best with that. It is really expensive, I gave about 300NOK for it. Which is.. Now about $40..? o_o.
Price: About $40..?

#6 GOSH foundation brush
I just bought this! Today, actually. It works really awesome! It´s flat but soft and works really well with liquid foundation! The foundation doesn´t stick to the brush which is nice! Makes really nice coverage as well.
Price: About $13

#7 Everyday Minerals Flat Top Brush
This one is reeeaally soft on the skin!! I love using it for my mineral powder foundation =).
Price: $10

So that´s about it! If you guys have anything to say about these or questions or disagreements or anything, please feel free to comment and tell me! Thanks!
